Conducting research during a pandemic

COVID-19: how have you adapted your research?

NIHR Moorfields BRC is planning to make a series of short films to show what working through the lockdowns has been like for our researchers, whether from home or elsewhere. We are seeking contributors from anyone at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, at any stage of your career.

We want to show how your hard work and adjustments have continued to meet research needs and more. We would also like to show examples of where you think you may have improved your work unexpectedly, have tackled the challenges you faced, and your solutions.

  • Did you have a revelation in your way of working or make a leap in your research?

  • Have you adapted the way you conduct research and will this continue post-pandemic?

  • If COVID-19 affected the shape of your work, have you changed tack completely?

We'd like to make the films as positive as possible. We also want to relate your experience in a realistic and honest way, so we'd like to hear from you whatever your feelings about how the pandemic has affected your work. We can easily anonymise contributions. In terms of recording, we can arrange this in a variety of way, including remotely.

Please contact Charlotte at charlotte.patten@ucl.ac.uk if you would like to take part or find out more.
