Sir Peng is Professor of Glaucoma and Ocular Healing at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology and Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London. He is Founder Director of the NIHR BRC: Moorfields and led it since 2007. He co-founded and was President of the UK Paediatric Glaucoma Society, and is currently Patron. He was the main clinical fundraiser for the Richard Desmond Children’s Eye Centre.  He was elected to the Academy of Medical Sciences (2002), named NIHR Senior Investigator (2009), and knighted in the Queen’s Birthday Honours (2013). He was inducted into The Ophthalmologist Hall of Fame in 2023.

Andrew Dick is Duke-Elder Professor of Ophthalmology and Director of the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology.  He is also Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Bristol (School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine and Bristol Medical School) and Honorary Consultant Ophthalmologist at Bristol Eye Hospital, University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. He was elected to the Academy of Medical Sciences (2007).
