An hour with a retinal genetic disease researcher – Professor Omar Mahroo

Come and join us at our new coffee hour series where you can hear about research in different areas of eye care. This is a friendly informal event where you (and your family, friends and/or carers) will have the opportunity to hear about research taking place at Moorfields Eye Hospital and UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, ask the researcher questions, and provide input that could shape the future of eye care research.

  • Location: Coffee Junction 42 Provost Street London N1 7SU (a 5-minute walk from Moorfields Eye Hospital)

Presenting at our first coffee hour will be Professor Omar Mahroo. Omar’s research focuses on genetic diseases of the retina at the back of the eye. Omar will give an overview of the research he has done to date and other exciting work taking place in this area.

We will also be providing a free coffee and pastry for you to enjoy! So come along and let’s have a chat about research into eye care that is important to you.
